Based in Mexico City, Paulo has been with Amazon since 2019. His first role was as General Manager and Head of Marketing for Prime Video Spanish-Speaking LATAM, where he and his team were responsible for growing the Mexico business as well as the expansion into Spanish-speaking Latin America. This included the successful launch of several Local Original titles and the launch of Marketplace (Channels and movie rentals/purchases) in Mexico, in addition to the expansion of Prime Video in Chile, Colombia, and Argentina in 2019 and to the remaining countries in 2020. In 2023, Paulo was appointed as Head of Latin America, and he now oversees all operations and business growth across the region including his native Brazil.
Prior to Amazon, Paulo oversaw marketing for Uber across Latin America as LATAM CMO and worked with Procter & Gamble for nearly two decades. During his time with P&G, he held several senior marketing roles in the US, Singapore, Panama and Brazil, managing teams for various leading consumer goods brands.
