Major U.S. studios sign on as exhibitors
NATPE Global's mission to deliver a world-class international content marketplace in Miami in January is taking shape. FOX Entertainment Global, Lionsgate and Paramount Global have signed on as anchor exhibitors and many more major studios are poised to follow as momentum builds. The verdict is in, and the industry is welcoming back the rejuvenated and reimagined event, now steered by Brunico, which runs international market-leading events including the Banff World Media Festival, Realscreen Summit and Kidscreen Summit.
With more than 40 countries represented and over 300 buyers registered, NATPE Global will bring together the most important buyers and sellers of projects in development and catalogue programming as well as decision-makers from the entire media ecosystem. NATPE Global and The Worldwide Audiovisual Women's Association (WAWA) partner to advance women in global audiovisual sector
NATPE Global, the international content industry's first major market of the year, has secured a multi-faceted partnership with the Worldwide Audiovisual Women's Association (WAWA) to advance women in the global audiovisual sector.
WAWA and NATPE Global will team up to host the Wonder Women Mentorship program comprised of 10-12 female students from audio visual programs at Florida International University, with Maggie Salas-Amaro Castellon, Director of Canela Kids, spearheading recruitment. WAWA will manage the program and all mentees will receive complimentary access to NATPE Global.
In addition, WAWA will have a significant market presence in January including a pavilion and will launch an annual invite-only WAWA-NATPE Wonder Women Lunch, featuring finalists for the 2023 WAWA Woman of the Year Award in an inspiring afternoon of networking and engaging conversation.
Moderated by Cynthia Hudson, SVP & General Manager of CNN en Español, the exclusive panel will examine the industry shifts, business models, and adaptation over the last several years and explore the unprecedented changes the industry has faced.

Szew and his team oversee the international, multi-platform sales and distribution of intellectual property owned and produced by FOX Entertainment and its growing portfolio of in-house production studios, as well as premium content acquired from outside producers to buyers across the globe. He is also Founding Partner and CEO of MarVista, one of the world’s leading independent studios, which was acquired by FOX Entertainment in 2021.
Series distributed by FOX Entertainment Global include FOX Entertainment’s wholly owned animated series Krapopolis, created by Emmy Award-winner Dan Harmon, and Grimsburg, starring and executive produced by Jon Hamm; and single-camera comedy Animal Control, starring Joel McHale. Set to premiere this coming season, Krapopolis and Grimsburg are produced by Bento Box Entertainment, while Animal Control is produced by FOX Entertainment Studios and has been renewed for a second season.
FOX Entertainment Global also distributes unscripted programming produced by FOX Alternative Entertainment and Studio Ramsay Global, the production entity formed by award-winning chef, restaurateur and presenter Gordon Ramsay and FOX Entertainment. NATPE Global rounds out its robust team ahead of its return in January
NATPE Global, North America’s premier content marketplace, has confirmed a slew of appointments rounding out the team ahead of its highly anticipated return to Miami next year from January 16 to 18 at the InterContinental Hotel.
As previously announced, former SVP and publisher of Realscreen Claire Macdonald has been named Executive Director to lead the team. She recently oversaw the successful NATPE Budapest that attracted 366 qualified buyers, 112 exhibitors, more than 400 companies and 60 countries represented showing growth on every front.
Jen Fitzgerald: Senior Conference Producer
Jen Fitzgerald brings extensive experience producing large-scale in-person/virtual events and awards programs including The Canadian Comedy Awards, CANCOM Comedy Symposium and most recently for other Brunico properties including Realscreen Summit, Realscreen Awards, Marketing Evolution Summit and Media Innovation Awards. Previously Jen spent six years in the Live Action Production Unit at Corus Entertainment working with such brands as YTV, CMT Canada, OWN Canada and W Network.
Brian Boudreau: Sales Manager
Brian Boudreau has worked for Brunico for nearly seven years, starting as Event Sales Representative for all company events in 2016 and eventually working his way up to Senior Account Manager with Playback Magazine and the Banff World Media Festival (BANFF.) Throughout six Festivals and numerous publications, Brian has played an instrumental role in growing and evolving the Playback / BANFF brands (both of which are staples in the Canadian b2b media industry) through innovative partnerships and strategic business development, as well as a focus on client experience and ROI. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Journalism Program, Brian has a deep interest in the business of film and television, and the evolving global distribution market. He brings significant experience in working with the government and corporate worlds and looks forward to his next challenge as Sales Manager with NATPE Global.
Cesar Diaz: Buyer Relations Manager, Latin America and Hispanic U.S.
Based in Miami, Cesar Diaz is a seasoned executive in the television distribution industry who now leads his own company, 7A Media, dedicated to content development, international sales and consulting. For more than 30 years he has worked for various Latin American television enterprises including Radio Caracas Television (Venezuela), Telefe (Argentina), Telefónica de España (Spain) and a career 22 years with Cisneros Media Distribution, formerly Venevision International (Venezuela). At the helm of the international sales division for each of these companies Cesar was key in catapulting the Latin telenovela genre to non-Spanish speaking markets such as Eastern Europe, Asia and Africa while maintaining a strong presence in all of the Spanish-speaking countries of Latin America as well as Spain and North America.

Based in Greece and with more than 20 years of experience in production development and distribution, Victoria Elmacioglu has a rooted track record in the TV market. Her legacy production company and studio facilities – TVE – are one of Greece’s most successful studios, having produced content for channels and platforms operating throughout Europe and the Middle East. In 2017, Victoria produced the Golden Umbrella TV Awards at Mediamixx Festival in Thessaloniki, an event that celebrated television excellence in the CEE & SEE regions. Fresh off the heels of the success of NATPE Budapest, Victoria is thrilled to continue working with Brunico, representing NATPE Global as Head of Buyer Relations and Business Development Manager.
Jose Sanchez: Business Development Manager
Jose Sanchez is a senior business development leader with more than 20 years of experience across the entertainment industry. With a vast background in media and entertainment, Jose has worked with major Global broadcasters and companies such as Disney/ABC, BBC, A&E Discovery, and Reed Midem. Jose has consistently won awards for outstanding achievements in sales, including (Reed Midem, Outstanding Sales award 2014, 2015 and 2017) and BBC’s CEO Sales Award (2002-2006) for building the BBC franchise in Latin America.
