The Hollywood Reporter "Trailblazer Award" presentation: David Oyelowo

David Oyelowo will receive The Hollywood Reporter's esteemed "Trailblazer Award" for his contributions to storytelling as an actor, producer, director and writer in both television and film.

The award, whose honorees recently have included Eva Longoria, Cris Abrego, Niecy Nash and America Ferrera, is given to artists and industry leaders whose work consistently uplifts and illuminates stories and characters that have been traditionally marginalized in Hollywood and the global entertainment marketplace.

Recipients of the "Trailblazer Award" also have used their platforms and influence to create opportunities for emerging artists and to support their peers in meaningful, change-effecting ways - all in order to create a more equitable share of opportunities for artists in Hollywood.

Following the award presentation, Oyelowo will sit down with Hollywood Reporter Contributing Editor Stacey Wilson Hunt for a wide-ranging interview about his career, including his recent Golden-Globe nominated turn as the lead in Paramount +'s Lawmen: Bass Reeves, on which he also served as an executive producer alongside Yellowstone creator Taylor Sheridan.
