Stacey was raised in Portland, Oregon by Illinois-native parents (Italian mom; farm-bred dad) and earned a B.A. in Professional Writing and Spanish from the University of Puget Sound. After starting her editorial career at Microsoft, she earned an M.S. in journalism from Columbia University and, prior moving to L.A. in 2010, logged six years as People

She’s also become a busy podcaster, including producing, writing and hosting two seasons of Nat Geo’s The Making Of; guest-hosting Showtime’s Dexter reboot podcast; and serving as host, writer and producer of Inventing Anna: The Official Podcast, for Shonda Rhimes’ hit Netflix series.

Currently a Contributing Editor for The Hollywood Reporter, Stacey lives down the hill from the Hollywood sign with her Texan-screenwriter husband Kris Hunt and a black-and-white Shih Tzu named Buddy.
