Julie Rieger is EVP, Entertainment of Publicis Media’s Entertainment practice where she provides guidance and expertise for entertainment clients, as well as develops entertainment strategies for brands to forge strong emotional connections with their customers.
Rieger is the former President, Chief Data Strategist & Head of Media at Fox Film where she created the vision, architecture, and implementation of the Consumer Intelligence group where her team build proven proprietary tools to better understand a customer base that had been disintermediated since the dawn of the industry. Julie has had the privilege of launching films like Avatar, Bohemian Rhapsody, Deadpool, XMEN, Logan, The Martian, Fault in Our Stars, The Heat, Hidden Figures, The Greatest Showman and The Book Thief, the film where she won numerous marketing awards for her profound ‘Imagine a world without words’ blank pages in The New York Times.
Over the years, Rieger, with her Southern wit and expertise took the stage to speak to groups of 100-1000 people. Whether it was for Google Marketing Live, The Wrap or Fox. She’s been interviewed by The Hollywood Reporter and a solo guest on Bob Pittman’s ‘Math & Magic’ podcast.
Rieger was an Adjunct Professor at USC from 2012-2017 where she taught Entertainment Marketing for a program that sat between the Cinematic and Business schools. Rieger was inducted into the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences (Oscars) in 2018. In October of that same year, Simon & Schuster released her first book that became an Amazon best seller.
