Courtney Mock

SVP, Scripted Television Development

Lionsgate Entertainment

New Establishment Award: Recognizing emerging leaders whose ideas and creative work are redefining the future of the industry.
Courtney Mock (SVP, Scripted Television Development, Lionsgate), honored for identifying and delivering audience-driven content, from original hits (The Studio, The Hunting Wives) to high-profile IP (Midnight Sun, Oldboy).

Courtney Mock serves as SVP of Scripted Television Development at Lionsgate Television (LGTV), the industry’s top third-party supplier of premium scripted series. She recently spearheaded breakout hits like Seth Rogen’s “The Studio” for Apple TV, which won a record 13 Emmys® this year, and Netflix’s “The Hunting Wives,” which spent six weeks in Netflix’s U.S. top 10 upon its debut.

Mock is also shepherding the highly anticipated adult animated “Twilight” TV adaptation, “Midnight Sun,” from Stephenie Meyer – the author of the best-selling book series that spawned the multi-billion-dollar film franchise – which is being readied for production at Netflix.

Overseeing a dynamic slate, Mock is currently developing the first English-language series adaptation of Park Chan-wook’s acclaimed film “Oldboy” and has worked on hits like CBS’s “Ghosts,” which is currently in its fifth season. She has also driven international co-productions, managing the development of “Prosper” for Roku in the U.S., and the comedy “Population 11,” both of which come through Lionsgate’s prolific partnership with the Australian network Stan.

Beyond her creative impact, Mock mentors rising talent through Lionsgate’s programs and advocates for working parents as a member of the PaCT employee group. She is a graduate of Chapman University, where she earned a BFA in Television.
