Nicole Silveira

Nicole Silveira is a seasoned television executive who serves as the Head of Unscripted/Vice President for Disney Branded Television programming exclusively for Disney+. She was part of the launch team for Disney+ and is building an unparalleled slate of content that pushes the boundaries of unscripted storytelling.

In her current tenure at Disney, she led the charge on three-time Emmy winning hit such as “Elton John Live: Farewell from Dodger Stadium,” and Emmy nominated “Encanto at the Hollywood Bowl” and global talent-driven series such as “Ed Sheeran: The Sum of All Parts” and “Rennervations.” She also oversaw the creative of the upcoming live-to-tape Disney+ special, “The Lion King at the Hollywood Bowl.”

Prior to Disney, she spent four years as the Head of Development and Vice President for Pilgrim Media Group. While overseeing development at Pilgrim, she worked with a variety of broadcast, cable networks and OTT streaming services to sell, develop, produce and manage the creative of various series. Before joining Pilgrim, she served as a development executive for both ITV and Gurney Productions, focusing on broadcast and international format development.

Silveira spent nearly a decade of her career at NBCUniversal in a variety of roles. In Alternative Programming and Development, Silveira successfully developed and launched all genres of unscripted series including “The Sing-Off,” “Minute to Win It” and “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” among many other hits for the network. Silveira worked with Universal Television Studios to manage their deals with various in-house producers and oversaw the production and creative responsibilities of numerous series a year in Current Programming and Development. Additionally, she identified key strategic initiatives in the areas of content creation and business development for the network, working to adapt foreign formats for the American audience.

Before joining NBC Alternative Programming, she worked in scripted programming at NBCUniversal and CBS Paramount. Silveira began her career in television in local news at KABC and KNBC where she worked as a producer. Silveira, a proud Indian-American woman, is part of many efforts both on screen and off to make sure diversity, equity and inclusion are always a part of the creative conversation. Silveira studied at Oxford University and the University of Michigan, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science.
